The ESF Project titled Me2! - Integration of persons with disability into the labour market, is a project co-financed by the European Union and spearheaded by Agenzija Sapport with the Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS), the National Commission Persons with a Disability (KNPD) and the Employment and Training Corporation (ETC). It started in December 2009 and was aimed to end in 2011. However this project got a one year extention. The aim of the project is to offer support to persons with disability to enhance their skills to integrate in society and hence find an employment. After experiencing a ten-day visit working with a co-operative of Brandon Trust in Bristol, a group of support workers in the Me2 Project, with the help of the Project Leader, administration, trainers and occupational therapist, came up with the idea of creating a co-operative. Hence the Me2 Co-op Limited was created and was officially launched on April 2012. The aim of this co-operative is to serve as an opportunity to enhance a disabled person's skills to become more independent, to empower and to promote inclusion into an integrated society. Our co-operative will offer different types of services. These include Back-Up Office, Enterprise, Support Services, Creativity, Cleaning Services, and Fruit and Agricultural Services. All such services will be assisted with Support Workers.
